The Plumes d’ici et
d’ailleurs writing workshop
invites you to
Choose a
painting, photograph, sculpture, or engraving. Let yourself be carried away by
the energy of this piece of art, which will be the central theme of the new
short story that you will write.
Your text,
which may be in French or in English, must not exceed 9000 characters, counting
spaces and characters. All entries will be treated as anonymous submissions for
evaluation purposes.
Participation
in this contest is free and open to everyone. This contest is made possible
with the support of Alliance Française locations throughout Canada and the
National Gallery of Canada. Sign up before December 31st, 2014. The
deadline for submission of texts to plumesdicietdailleurs@gmail.com is January 31st, 2015.
Texts
selected by the reading committee will be published. Participating authors will
receive a short text detailing the jury’s evaluation of their respective
submissions. Only one text will be accepted from each author. These texts will
be accompanied by a registration form, which you will find attached to the participation regulations.
We hope you
have a great time as you write at the
museum!
